Santos S. Reyna

Santos S. Reyna, 94, peacefully passed on February 10, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.  She was born in San Francisco, Nuevo León, México on November 1, 1926 to the late Cesario and Guadalupe Saldaña.

She enjoyed playing Las Maquinitas, cooking for family and friends, fishing, and watching her favorite NFL team – the Dallas Cowboys.

Santos was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Bernardo Z. Reyna; sons, Bernardo Reyna, Jr., Arnoldo Reyna, Santos Reyna; and grandchildren, Bernardo Reyna III and Angelica Reyna; and her parents, Cesario and Guadalupe Saldaña.

Left to treasure her memory are her children, Rigoberto (Denise) Reyna, Victoria Reyna, Jose Luis (Mary Lou) Reyna; grandchildren, Jessica, Angela, Christine, Amanda, Jackie, Rolando, Christian, Shelby, Veronica, Ricky, Noli, Angel; great-grandchildren, Andres, Mario, Evan, Paul Michael; and numerous great-great grandchildren.  Santos is also survived by her best friends Marie Hernandez, Maria Vigil, Magda Reynado, Aurora Lucio, Rosie Garcia, and Oralia Mendoza.

Visitation will take place Friday, February 12, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.  A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 o’clock on Friday evening.  A Committal Service and Interment will take place Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Rolando Cruz, Andres Cruz, Evan Rendon, Christian Reyna, Paul Rendon, and Ricky Reyna.  Serving as honorary pallbearers are Mario Bermea, Daniel Quiroz, and Isaiah Exiñia.
