Sigenore Oyama
September 25, 1917 — June 22, 2017
Sigenore Oyama, Sr. passed away on June 22, 2017.
He is survived by his three daughters, Trudy (Francis) Ogawa, Charlotte Azwell, and Cheryl Oyama, 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tsuyu Oyama, son Sigenore Oyama, Jr., grandson Russell Sheetz and granddaughter Tanya Sheetz.
Sigenore was a farmer until he retired at the age of 88.
Services will be July 1, 2017 at 10 am at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, 710 Ed Carey Dr., Harlingen, Texas. Burial will follow at Mont Meta Memorial Park.
Visitation will be June 30 from 1 pm to 7 pm with the family present from 5 pm to 7 pm at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Todd Ogawa, Chris Azwell, Lonny Onishi, Lyndon Jones, Terry Meyers and Tod Knight.
