Sylvia Nohemy Hand, 57, passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at her residence in Harlingen. She was born on December 9, 960 in El Salvador and had been a resident of Harlingen for 33 years.
She is survived by her husband, Monty Herman Hand; sons, Charles Albert Hand and Ceasar Rodolfo Melendez; and brothers, Jose Amilcar Gonzalez and Antonio Gonzalez.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Thomas Gonzalez.
Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary service at 7:00 PM at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home, Thursday, June 28, 2018.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Harlingen with burial to follow at the Harlingen-Combes Cemetery.
