Thomas “Tom” C. Cox, 73, peacefully passed away on May 27, 2025, in Harlingen, Texas. He was born on June 28, 1951, to Stedman P. and Mary Rita Walls Cox in Houston, Texas.
He was a 1969 graduate of Spring Branch High School, attended the University of Houston, and worked for Bush Supply in Harlingen for many years. In his leisure time, Tom enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and boating.
Tom's parents preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Bonnie Cox; his children, Christopher (Jennifer) Belyeu and Samantha (Josh) Neff; his granddaughters, Elizabeth, Katelyn, Tesla, and Tabitha; and his sisters, Rita (Al) Roberts and Betty Szymanski; his brothers, Richard (Nancy) Cox, James (Teresa) Cox and David (Rebecca) Cox; numerous nieces and nephews; and two God children.
Tom’s family would like to thank the dialysis staff, hospital nurses and technicians, the ICU team, and Father Garza from St. Anthony Catholic Church in Harlingen.
A celebration of Tom’s life and legacy is scheduled for Friday, June 6, 21025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at J&B’s Café, located at 204 E. Jackson Ave., Harlingen, Texas.
