Veronica Atkinson

Our beloved younger sister, Veronica Atkinson (57) passed away at her home in Dallas, TX on June 21, 2023 after a lengthy illness.  Veronica was born in Laredo, TX on March 7, 1966.

She is preceded death by her mother, Consuelo Atkinson and her father, Ernesto Atkinson.

Veronica is survived by her 3 brothers, Rudy (Mary), Roland (Susana), Richard (Pat); her sister Dahlia (Fred); her longtime partner, Bobby Near; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Veronica “Tex” will be fondly remembered as an intelligent, vivacious, generous and hardworking person who cherished her pets (Kesha & Pickles), and who always placed God and family in the highest esteem.  She will be dearly missed.

The Atkinson family will receive family and friends on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home.  A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.  A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Mont Meta Memorial Park Mausoleum.
