Walter H. Bode, 64, passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, in Harlingen, Texas. Born January 6, 1962, in San Benito, Texas, he was the son of Herbert Bode and Norma Lee Madden.

A proud graduate of Los Fresnos High School, Class of 1982, Walter dedicated over 30 years as the Captain of Bode’s Bay Fishing. He enjoyed motorcross racing and farming.

Preceded in death by his mother, Norma Lee Madden, and his sister, Debbie Wehr, Walter is survived by his wife, Norma Lee Bode; his children, Lauren, Dillon, and Wyatt Bode; three cherished grandchildren; and his niece, Natasha Murrell.

Walter will be remembered with love and respect. In carrying out his wishes, no formal services will be held.
