William Forrest McGinnis, Jr.

William Forrest McGinnis, Jr., 82, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2026, in Harlingen, Texas. Born September 7, 1943, in Harrodsburg, Kentucky, he was the son of William Forrest McGinnis Sr. and Bernice McGinnis.

William dedicated his career to Parker-Hannifin, where he worked as a Project Manager until his retirement. He was a distinguished member of the Texas Muzzle Loading Rifle Association, achieving recognition as a three-time Silhouette Texas State Champion.

In his leisure time, William found joy in hunting, fishing, black powder shooting, and participating in Mountain Man Rendezvous.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wilma J. McGinnis, and his sister. He leaves behind his son, Robert A. McGinnis (Ruth A. McGinnis), and granddaughters, Amanda McGinnis-Rodriguez (Anthony) and Allison McGinnis, who cherish his memory.
