Wilma Jean McGinnis

Wilma Jean McGinnis, age 82, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, in Harlingen, Texas. She was born on February 23, 1943, in Lexington, Kentucky, to Elijah Lane and Allison Lunsford Lane.

A dedicated professional, Wilma worked as a bookkeeper for Jens Oilfield Service, from which she later retired. Throughout her life, she enjoyed participating in Primitive Rendezvous and had a passion for reading.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Allison Lane, and her brother, Samuel Lane. She is survived by her loving husband, William Forrest McGinnis; her son, Robert McGinnis (Ruth); her grandchildren, Amanda McGinnis-Rodriquez (Anthony) and Allison McGinnis; as well as her brother, Charles Lane (Mary).

Her legacy will be remembered by all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.
