Edubijen Juarez, Jr., 47, passed away at his home on June 2, 2021. He was born to Edubijen Juarez, Sr. and Oliva Rodriguez in San Benito, Texas.
Edubijen was a graduate of Rio Hondo High School. He was a dedicated and highly respected U.S. Border Patrol agent for the last 22 years and was a Special Operations Supervisor at the time of his death.
He loved spending time with his family and helping the community and all those around him. In his spare time, Edubijen enjoyed fishing and was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan.
Left to treasure his memory are his wife, Maribel Juarez; his sons, Brian Zachary Juarez and Ivan Ethan Juarez; his parents, Edubijen, Sr. and Oliva Rodriguez; sister, Alma Linda Reyna; numerous nieces and nephews, and his pet, Skipper.
The Juarez family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 7 o’clock on Wednesday evening. (Click on the link below to view the Rosary via live-stream.) A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Rio Hondo. Brian Z. Juarez, Ivan E. Juarez, Edward Ruiz, Rodolfo Ruiz, Jr., Omar Puente, and George Reyna, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
