We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home
Faiza Kishmish Naman was born August 9, 1934 in Baghdad, Iraq to the late Kishmish Naman and Alice Mansour and was the eldest of her siblings.
Faiza graduated from Baghdad University with a degree in Pharmacy and practiced at several medical centers in Iraq. She and her sister, Wafa, survived the death of her parents and two sisters in Iraq. They also survived several coups and revolutions as well as three major wars. The rest of Faiza’s siblings were living in England, Canada, or the U.S.A. at the time.
Eventually, Faiza came with Wafa to the U.S.A., about 15 years ago. She lived in St. Augustine, Florida, and in Los Fresnos and Harlingen, Texas.
She was a kind and loving person and eager to help others. She always saw the good in people. While in good health, she regularly attended the Catholic church.
Faiza is survived by her brothers, Sam Nauman of Bayview, Texas, Dan Nauman of Phoenix, Arizona, Dr. Safa Naman (Dr. Maysoon Naman) of Alamo, California; sisters, Nisreen Murad of Birmingham, Michigan, Wafa Naman of Royal Oak, Michigan, and Shahta Lingle of Pearland, Texas. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews, and her good friend, Nancy Lawrence.
