Guadalupe "Lupita" Naranjo

Guadalupe “Lupita” Naranjo peacefully passed from this life on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 88 years of age.  She was born to the late Leonardo Lopez and Tomasita Rodriguez on May 22, 1933 in San Benito, Texas.

Lupita enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonardo and Tomasita R. Lopez; and brother, Arturo Lopez.

Left to treasure Lupita’s memory is her loving husband, Felipe Naranjo; her children, Robert (Aurora) Naranjo, Norma Naranjo, Felipe Naranjo Jr. (Diana), grandson, Jason. She is also survived by her nieces whom she raised as her own, Melinda Lopez and Michelle Sanchez; and their children whom she loved as her own grandchildren, Manny, Shelley, Daniel, Julian, Nick, and Briana; brothers, Leonardo Lopez Jr. (Mary), Robert Lopez (Mary), and Cleo Lopez; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Naranjo family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, January 14, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Buck Ashcraft San Benito Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Harlingen. Following the Mass, Lupita will be laid to rest at Mont Meta Memorial Park Chapel of Peace Mausoleum.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Robert Naranjo, Jason Naranjo, David Lopez, Jesse Montemayor, and Jesse Montemayor.
